Do you have a family tradition for celebrating Mother's Day with the women in your life? How about a delicious dinner "out" and a beautiful plant for the yard? GoodSeed Nursery, now in their new convenient location right next door to HIlltop Designs, invites you to join over 1000 mothers who make an annual prilgrimage to GoodSeed Nursery for a FREE Mother's Day plant. The reception hall at Hilltop Designs, is offering a Mother's Day feast for the whole family with no waiting in line.
Owners Steve and Marjorie Boehme started their Mother's Day weekend tradition over 14 yrs. ago in 1999 and the popular 3 day event has grown every year since. This years gift plant is a baby "Old Fashioned Lilac", FREE to the 1st 1200 mothers who attend the event starting Friday, May 10th thru Mother's Day Sunday.
GoodSeed is now located on the same property with HIlltop Designs, host of the Annual Appalachian Artisan's Fest every October. Starting this year you can enjoy a delicious family meal in Hilltop's elegant ballroom on Mother's Day Sunday. Reserve a table for the Mother's Day buffet dinner. Seatings are 12 noon and 1:30 PM, for a mouth watering menu of Prime Top Round of Beef, Glazed Lean Sliced Ham, Sliced Breast of Turkey, Mostocholi with Melted Cheese, Asst.Cheeses, Asst Breads, Vegetable Tray with Pickles, Olives and Peppers, Hot Baked Beans, Homemade salads and Cole Slaw. Dessert, Hot and Cold Drinks. Cost is $10.99 per person. Reservations are required, ( call 937-695-5545)
Meanwhile, next-door GoodSeed Nursery will be lively with music, food, kettle korn, special promotions and specials all 3 days. Breakfast and a special kid's menu will be available, along with cheesecake and huge Amish donuts. Admission is FREE. GoodSeed is known for having intersting perennials, home orhcard trees and fruit plants. "We're the blueberry capital of Southern Ohio" jokes Steve. The nursery will be stuffed with beautiful flowering plants, vegetable plants and even sweet potato starts, a specialty.
